Creativity At Work

Large-Scale Event Strategy & Execution

From concept to day-of coordination, we develop the creative and operational framework that keeps large events cohesive, intentional, and well-executed. We focus on the big picture while making sure every detail supports the overall experience.

Community Fundraisers & Special Events

We design events that bring people together for a shared purpose. Whether raising money, building awareness, or celebrating a milestone, we shape experiences that feel meaningful, well-organized, and engaging from start to finish.

Restaurant & Hospitality Promotions

We help restaurants and hospitality spaces create moments that drive traffic and build loyalty. From themed nights to ongoing programming and promotional concepts, we develop ideas that fit your space and your audience—not just trends.

Higher Education & Community Engagement

We work with institutions and community organizations to design engagement strategies that connect people to programs, events, and initiatives in a more human way. The goal is participation, connection, and clarity—not just communication.

Case Studies

National Customer Conference

Challenge

A national technology company wanted its annual customer conference to be more than a series of presentations and networking sessions. The goal was to create an experience that would strengthen customer relationships, increase engagement, encourage attendance year after year, and reinforce the company's brand in a memorable way.

Solution

Over multiple years, I helped lead the creative vision and attendee experience strategy for a national customer conference, developing immersive themes that extended far beyond event branding.

Rather than treating the annual theme as a visual concept alone, each experience served as the foundation for attendee engagement, influencing everything from communications and promotions to activations, entertainment, sponsorship opportunities, giveaways, and event environments.

One year, attendees were transported to Route 66 in the 1950s, complete with a drive-in movie experience, destination-inspired branding, themed entertainment, and a nostalgic sock hop that brought the era to life. Another year embraced the glamour of Hollywood, where attendees became the stars of the show through movie-inspired experiences, red-carpet moments, and a fully immersive Night at the Museum event. A third conference transformed into Summer Camp, incorporating playful nostalgia, camp-inspired activities, and interactive experiences designed to encourage connection and community.

Each theme was carefully woven throughout the attendee journey—from registration through closing remarks—creating experiences that felt cohesive, memorable, and distinctly different from a traditional industry conference.

Results

The conference welcomed approximately 300 attendees and consistently received exceptional feedback. Most notably, post-event surveys indicated that 100% of customers were likely to attend again.

The immersive approach helped create memorable experiences, strengthen customer engagement, and differentiate the conference from traditional industry events.

Locally Owned Restaurant

Challenge

Like many independent restaurants, Empire Bistro faced the ongoing challenge of attracting guests in an increasingly competitive hospitality environment. The goal wasn't simply to fill seats for a single event—it was to create new reasons for people to visit, encourage repeat business, strengthen community connections, and establish Empire as more than just a place to dine.

Solution

I partnered with Empire Bistro to develop and execute a growing portfolio of experience-driven programming designed specifically for its audience, brand, and community.

Rather than relying solely on traditional advertising or discounts, we focused on creating unique experiences that gave people a reason to gather, connect, and return. This included identifying partnership opportunities, sourcing presenters and entertainers, developing themed events, coordinating logistics, creating promotional materials, and building marketing strategies to support attendance.

Programming has ranged from themed dining experiences and live entertainment to wellness-focused events, educational programming, trivia experiences, community collaborations, and interactive guest experiences. Each concept was designed to align with Empire's brand while attracting new audiences and encouraging existing customers to engage with the business in new ways.

Beyond individual events, the strategy helped establish a framework for ongoing programming and community engagement, transforming experiences into a consistent part of Empire's business model.

Results

The programming generated strong attendance, increased visibility, and created meaningful engagement opportunities for guests. Several events exceeded expectations, including one that resulted in one of the strongest nights of business the restaurant had experienced in years.

More importantly, the work helped position Empire Bistro as a destination for experiences—not just dining—creating new opportunities to attract guests, build community connections, and encourage repeat visits throughout the year.

Nonprofit Fundraiser

Challenge

As part of its 100th anniversary celebration, the Rotary Club of Tiffin sought to host a major community fundraising event that would not only generate meaningful financial support but also engage the broader community and create excitement around the organization's milestone year.

With a large venue to fill and a fundraising goal to achieve, success depended on more than simply promoting an event—it required creating visibility, building momentum, and giving people compelling reasons to participate.

Solution

I partnered with Rotary to develop and execute a comprehensive promotional and engagement strategy surrounding a John Denver tribute concert at The Ritz Theatre.

The approach combined traditional event marketing with strategic community partnerships and audience engagement initiatives designed to maximize attendance and visibility. This included marketing strategy, promotional planning, social media content, public relations efforts, community outreach, and partnership development.

One particularly successful initiative involved creating a collaborative pre-show dinner experience with a local restaurant, which not only enhanced the guest experience but also strengthened connections between local organizations while generating additional excitement around the event.

Throughout the campaign, the focus remained on building awareness, creating community enthusiasm, and positioning the event as more than a concert—it became a celebration of Rotary's impact and legacy within the community.

Results

The event attracted strong attendance and significant community engagement, ultimately generating more than $21,000 in net proceeds for the organization.

The partnership-driven approach also resulted in a sold-out pre-show dinner at the restaurant, demonstrating the power of creative collaboration to create value for multiple organizations simultaneously.

Beyond the financial outcome, the event helped strengthen community awareness of Rotary's mission while creating a memorable experience for attendees and supporters alike.
